35 by 35

Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling, people sitting and indoorI've decided to do a list of 35 things to do before my 35 birthday (10/14/2018). And I wanted to share it because some of you are really good cooks, work for or love local organizations I can attend or volunteer at, or have a book I should read. Part of this journey will be to live in community more so I would love your help and companionship as I map out 35 things to do this year. Some of these things I will do for the first time like paddle boarding or kyaking in the ocean but others are things that I don't do enough like going to shows or running. 



  1. Drink a vintage wine.  DONE
  2. Make a hollandaise sauce. Stretch goal, make all the mother sauces. 
  3. Take a cooking class.
  4. Make 1 new/challenging/exotic dish a month.
  5. Restart clean eating by doing it for 1 month. DONE
  6. Learn to make bread.
  7. Grow watermelon.
  8. Try a summer CSA. 
  9. Make bacon!
  10. Make an Italian Easter bread
  11. See a show/movie at the Tampa Theatre.
  12. Volunteer 35 hours to organizations in Pasco County.
  13. See a musical. 
  14. Local Art - Gasparilla Art Festival or Tampa Museum of Art, Dali, etc. DONE
  15. Take an art class.
  16. Run in a 5k race. Stretch goal - 10k, etc (February)
  17. Take Toby camping. DONE
  18. Make a plan for canoe-ing every named lake in Land O' Lakes. 
  19. Do a Fourteener in Colorado. 
  20. Plan a Sunrise to Sunset Trip for just me or me & my fellow mom/lady friends.
  21. Donate "Christmas" to a homeless family. DONE
  22. Some sort of biking goal here. 
  23. Paddle board and kayak in the ocean or gulf.
  24. Take a sailing class. 
  25. Use Duolingo to learn conversational Spanish.
  26. Pray/Meditate daily practice during Lent. STARTED
  27. Give up soda for a year. STARTED
  28. Take the Enneagram STARTED
  29. Sew a t-shirt quilt.
  30. Start Grad school. (May)
  31. Apply for Leadership Pasco.
  32. Media fast for a month. STARTED
  33. Read 20 books (this one will run through December 2018). STARTED on #9
  34. Create a family/framily recipe book and make a recipe with the person sharing it. STARTED
  35. Host quarterly casual, potluck dinners at the house.
